The 2002 OMISS Seminar will discuss the relative position of social inequalities in Montreal with respect to other urban centres in Canada. Mapping of health problems as well as of some essential services such as housing, food supply and financial services will also be presented. This evidence-based data should contribute to guiding public discussion now underway which is aimed at completing the political and structural reorganisation of the City of Montreal.
