In addition to providing valuable information on the physical and
mental health problems of Quebecers, the study also supplies information
on their lifestyles and use of social and health services. Results
on the connections between diverse living environments (family, social
setting, workplace, etc.) and health are also included. The report
is based on data collected during interviews conducted in 12,000 households
throughout 1998; it provides information on 30,000 Quebecers living
in all regions of Quebec. Finally, the site also includes assorted
suggestions for reflection on planning and action. Publication can
be downloaded from the site.

in mortality by income in urban Canada from 1971 to 1996

The goal of this study was to determine whether inequalities in mortality
related to income had decreased from 1971 to 1996. More detailed results
show the causes of death associated with decreasing, increasing or
stable economic disparity, by different periods

The main objective of this study was to update knowledge on the state
of dental health among children aged 11-12 and 13-14 years. Study
results showed a significant decrease in dental caries in permanent
teeth. However, results also demonstrated that the social inequalities
related to this disease still persist and are becoming more pronounced.
